Ambleville Chateau Touring North-West Île-de-France Region
Ambleville chateau touring - this historic site can be easily missed as you drive through the town of Ambleville. The Château d'Ambleville is tucked to the side of the road against a church. It's a nice surprise once you discover it.

The tiered gardens are comprised of garden "rooms", including a garden theatre and cascading waters. On the upper level is a grassy field that appears to be cleverly mown into quadrants, giving the impression of a renaissance hedge garden. In spring you can see in fact that the grass hedging is comprised entirely of daffodils.

The chateau has been refurbished a number of times since its construction in the 1500s, the gardens were added in the 1600s.
